Course Description

Once the software product is developed successfully we need to inspect and analyses its features to find and correct the errors. Here at this point we need to look into testing the developed software. There are two types of testing Manual Testing, Automation Testing. Manual testing is done to identify bugs and feature issues before the software application is made live. The tester identifies corrects and validates the key features of the software application and makes it live. While doing so the analysts execute test cases and prepare summary error reports without using advanced automation tools.

Testing Courses

While Automated Testing is a process carried out to test the functioning and validate the developed software to meet up its requirements using scripted sequences that are executed by testing tools. Manual testing helps identify both hidden and visible defects in software. Despite the widespread use of automated testing, manual remains an essential component of testing in software development. Although the testing procedure requires significant effort, it is essential for testing newly developed software..

Because every firm now has its own website, there is a lot of rivalry in the world of online marketing, and SEO plays a big part in that. In addition, there is a growing demand for SEO experts who are familiar with digital marketing.

What are manual testing and its types?

Manual Testing is the process of manually testing software for defects. Here test cases are executed manually without using any automated tool. The tester plays the role of end user and uses the application features to correct its behavior. To ensure completeness of testing the tester often follows a written test plan to implement a set of important test cases. All test cases executed by the tester manually ply in accordance with the end user’s perspective. It ensures whether the application is working, as mentioned in the requirement document or not. Types of manual testing are Acceptance Testing, Black Box Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing, Unit Testing, and White Box Testing.

Testing can be done through black, white or grey box testing.

White- box testing – the tester is concerned with the execution of the statements through the source code.

Black- box testing – the software is allowed to run to check for the defects and we will not consider about the processing of the input. They do not have the access to the source code.

Grey- box testing – Software is allowed to run after proper understanding of source code and its algorithms.

There is two more testing approach. They are Static and Dynamic testing.

Static testing involves verifying requirements, syntax of code and all other activities that do not include actually running the code of the program.

Dynamic testing involves running the software.

Testing is further divided into Functional testing and Non- functional testing.

Functional testing – Tester checks for calculations, links on page based on the given input.

Non- functional testing – Involves testing performance, compatibility issues and fitness of system under test its security and usability among other things.

Merits of manual testing
